Intelligent Mail Management

The K2600 inserting system represents a milestone in the evolution of automatic mailing systems. In 1984, Kern introduced the world's first truly modular K2000 inserting system. Today, the K2600 builds upon 25 years of knowledge and expertise to deliver a durable and user friendly design that is unmatched in the industry today. Through carefully conceived design and modular construction, the K2600 can be configured to the widest variety of production application requirements. Consistent use of the latest servo technology allows maintenance free processing that pushes the K2600 to produce 16,000 mailpieces per hour with either C6, DL, C5 and B5 envelopes. 

Integrated Inputs

"Kern Integrated Inputs" reduce the complexity found in current input systems and more importantly, reduce setup times. The available Kern "QUICKset" system provides for even faster (and more accurate) change overs by auto adjusting the pre-set parameters with no operator intervention needed. The K2600's continuous forms input combines the cutting, accumulating, and folding into one compact unit. The system's fast input processes two page document sets at the full rated chassis speed of 16,000 mailpieces per hour and three page sets at 12,000 mailpieces per hour. Either pin-fed or pin-less may be used. Kern's unique reading system allows an unlimited reading zone from above and below. 

Innovative Folding System

The K2600’s integrated folding module makes virtually every kind of vertical and horizontal fold possible. Pages can be folded separately or in groups, and with just a few simple adjustments the folding system can be changed to accommodate different document formats. Various documents of different sizes and paper quality can be folded as required and fed continuously. All folding and feeder stations accommodate high stack capacity and can be loaded with inserts from both sides of the Kern 2600 Multimailer. Flexible fold rollers significantly increase folding capacity while the exclusive "clam shell" design separates the folder down the middle for easy access. 

Higher Productivity by Design

Industry leading sensor density ensures every piece and packet are continuously monitored and tracked, guaranteeing 100% mail piece integrity. Approximately 3,000 envelopes may be loaded in the inserter autoloader from which they are precisely monitored and transported to the insertion area.
