Yorkshire Envelopes signs six figure deal with KernPack for bespoke Servo X shrink wrapping and packing line

Yorkshire Envelopes, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of envelopes from paper to pack, has taken delivery of a bespoke Servo X shrink wrapping and packing line from KernPack in a six figure contract.

Built in Germany at Hugo Beck's factory, the fully automated line has replaced two old lines and went live immediately on a large contract for a major stationery and retail outlet.

Yorkshire Envelope’s Managing Director, Peter Rae, said:  “We looked at several different suppliers and selected KernPack as we were really impressed with the performance metrics the KernPack line promised as well as the massive savings it could deliver through reduced use of consumables and power consumption.”

 Peter confirms that set up times are quick and the line is very easy to run.  “We are really impressed with the machine’s versatility; it can handle anything in our product range, which includes 100s of different items, and deliver packing speeds in the thousands per hour, a significant improvement on the performance of the last lines we were using.  Performance and delivery timelines are more and more critical in delivering customer satisfaction and business success as we are competing in a global market.” 

Following a smooth installation process, KernPack conducted extensive training for four members of Yorkshire Envelope’s staff who claim to be delighted to be working on the new line, finding it clean, efficient and very fast.

 In summary Peter Rae said: “Our first impressions of the KernPack team are being borne out by experience; they are extremely knowledgeable, professional and sincere and we feel confident we have made a good choice in partnering with them,” said Peter Rae.
