Kern embraces continuous improvement and welcomes customer opinion,
and we have reviewed and improved our courses to meet specific
customer needs. The training provided is time and cost efficient,
with the operators receiving specific instruction on the modules
they are using on a regular basis. Delegates are also provided
with a practical course manual specifically constructed around
the configuration of their machine.
Kern’s Training Department can
provide the following operator courses:
This course can be run for up to four operators at a time. No previous experience with the machine is necessary, as the trainer will start with the basics and move onto the more detailed aspects of the machine. If operators have some knowledge of the machine, then the basics can be reviewed fairly quickly and more emphasis can be put on the practical sections of the course, fault finding, and questions and answers. Safe working practices and best practices for increased machine performance are emphasised throughout the course. Each attendee receives a Basic Operator Training manual and has to complete Health & Safety and Machine test papers at the end of the course. All attendees receive a pass or fail grade.
This course is run for up to two operators at a time and is recommended for operators who have passed a Basic Operator course and have at least a further three months experience on the machine. Although this course covers similar topics to the Basic course, it goes into a lot more detail and explores the subtle adjustments that can be made to maximise the performance and efficiency of a machine. Key Operators are also given a higher level of access to the machine screens. Attendees receive a Key Operator Training manual. There are also Health & Safety and Machine tests. All attendees receive a pass or fail grade.
This course is run for up to two operators at a time. This is recommended for experienced and skilled operators who have the aptitude and skills to perform minor fixes and detailed operator settings. This highly practical course concentrates on practical skills and tasks that can be used to improve and maintain the performance of the machine. Each attendee receives a simple tool kit that provides them with all the tools they need to make Senior Operator adjustments and fixes. Attendees receive a pass / fail grade based on their ability to perform the various tasks covered on the course.
This is a half-day session for up to two Operators at a time. It is recommended for operators who are probably at Basic or Key level, but have not been assessed through a formal training course. Each attendee is set a range of tasks on the machine that must be completed within certain time limits. The trainer will assess their performance to identify if they are at Basic or Key Operator level.
