Universal Feeders

Universal feeders, Friction feeders, Rotation feeders, Pick & place feeders, Labeling heads, Newspaper feeders, Flat stack feeders and a Collator are part of the in-house manufactured product spectrum of Hugo Beck.

The graphical operator surfaces and the touch screens of the feeders provide a comfortable operating method.

The electromotoric lifting columns are height adjustable, making the feeders versitily usable. The PIAB ® valves used by Hugo Beck provide considerably lower air consumption.

The feeders are mobile, multifunctionally applicable and have their own steering and servo drive train. Therefore the feeders can also be used with third party machines.

The special flexibility of Kern's Hugo Beck feeders:

1. All Hugo Beck feeders from Kern can be positioned freely. This means no fixed position must be adhered to along the transport chain. By default the feeder can either be integrated into the conveyor chain in line (online) or right-angled (laterally). It can be attached to the respective packing machine on the left or on the right side. Every position is freely selectable and accessible. Thus the feeders can be employed between position 1 and 2, for example. Through this, Hugo Beck has an enormous advantage over its competitors. Because with feeders from Hugo Beck customers can react to their production requirements fast and flexibly.

 An example:

On production day 1, all the inserts on position x are inserted into magazines. On production day 2, the magazines need to be opened again and inserts on position Y inserted.
The advantage: The positions for the insertion can be changed without great effort and the machines are able to continue working quickly.

2.Whether it's a photocell, rotary encoder or cam signal, all functionalities of the feeder can be connected through plug & play: plug in, switch on - and that's all!
A special feature: The feeders can't just be connected to Hugo Beck machines from Kern, but also autonomously to third-party machines.
